River Drop
(from “Sublime Wilderness”)
It is not one root, one tree.
It is the forest.
It is not you, me.
It is humanity.
A river springs from one drop.
How many drops to create that flow?
Don’t seek visibility.
Endeavor rather to strengthen the surge.
There is a waterfall up ahead.
The effervescence of that breathless drop is a rainbow.
Don’t be a splash that evaporates along the bank.
Paddle to the middle.
Strengthen the current.
Catapult into colors off the edge.
Fulfillment is wetting every bottom rock.
Sustenance is planting buoys for who is next.
Consummation is being in the eternal movement.
Take long strokes in what has no beginning and
moves ever forward in what has no end.
